<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a computer for controlling a period for expanding PCI devices and a period for making an OS recognize the expanded PCI devices. <P>SOLUTION: In a computer which includes a system control part with a port for connecting a processor, a memory and a PCI device with one another, and controlling a hot plug of the PCI device, the system control part includes: a hot plug mode storage area for setting a mode of a hot plug; and a device detection part which detects that the PCI device is added to the port, and the system control part blocks energization after temporarily energizing the PCI device when a value of a hot plug mode storage area is a predetermined value when the device detection part detects addition of the PCI device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
