<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer carrier capable of maintaining high quality for a long period even when a developer having high sphericity or a developer having a small particle diameter is used by causing the surface layer of the developer carrier to strongly suppress frictional charging of the developer and stabilize the developer. <P>SOLUTION: A developer carrier 508 includes a substrate 506 and a surface layer 507. The surface layer is a cured material of a resin composition containing a binder resin, conductive particles, a quaternary ammonium salt, and an azo-based metal complex compound; and the binder resin has at least one structure in a molecular structure selected from a group consisting of a -NH<SB POS="POST">2</SB>group, a =NH group, and a -NH- coupling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
