<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to diagnose abnormalities of a blowby gas channel regardless of the opening of a PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve. <P>SOLUTION: In the blowby gas reduction device returning the blowby gas leaking out to a crankcase 20 of an engine 10 to an inlet pipe 36, a control unit 60 incorporating a computer diagnoses whether or not abnormalities such as coming off of a piping occur in the blowby gas channel 52 based on the output signal of a pressure sensor 58 detecting the pressure P in the internal space of the crankcase 20. That is, the abnormality diagnosing is carried out according to the pressure P greatly changing by pistons 14 of the engine 10 reciprocally moving because the blowby gas in the crankcase 20 is not sucked by the negative pressure in the inlet pipe 36 when the abnormalities occur in the blowby gas channel 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
