<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective system for analyzing image data. <P>SOLUTION: The system and a method for executing a depth estimation procedure utilizing the out-of-focus pill-box image include a camera device including a sensor device for picking up a pill-box blur image of a subject. The camera executes a Gaussian conversion procedure for converting the pill-box blur image into a corresponding Gaussian blur image by utilizing a depth estimation unit. The Gaussian conversion procedure is executed by convoluting the pill-box blur image by a Gaussian conversion kernel and generating the corresponding Gaussian blur image.
