<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of maintaining from waiting time proper amount of lubricant to be applied to a surface of a rotating body that is an image carrier. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a photoreceptor drum 1 that is a rotating body; lubricant material 6 containing lubricant; a brush roller 7 that contacts and rotates the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 to apply lubricant from the lubricant material 6 to the photoreceptor drum 1; a developing roller 202 that develops a latent image on the photoreceptor drum 1 with developer; and a control unit that rotates the photoreceptor drum 1 without performing image formation, while rotating and stops the developing roller 202 during a waiting mode for waiting the subsequent image formation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
