[Also in Group XXVIII] Sealing of abutting peripheral sides of prefabricated heat insulation panels comprising a core 11, Fig. 7 and front and rear plywood facing sheets 12, 10, Fig. 2 (not shown) is effected by scoring a V-groove 30 along each joint line, inserting a wooden spline 31 therein, adhesively bonding the front portions 32 of the wedgeshaped sides 34 of the spline to the sides of the groove 30 whilst leaving the rear portion 33 unbonded. The inner faces 35 of the spline are separated by a spacing strip 36. Sealing of intercepting corners of adjacent panels is effected by reaming the groove ends to form a conical hole and inserting therein an adhesively coated plug 42, Fig. 10.
