The purpose of the present invention is to provide a cutting method for a secondary battery electrode plate, and the secondary battery electrode plate cutting method according to one embodiment of the present invention is characterised by comprising: a step in which a pair of cut sections are formed so as to be symmetrical with an upper-lower widthwise surface orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of a reel electrode plate for making electrode plates for secondary batteries, the cut sections being cut so as to comprise a pair of curved surface sections formed in positions symmetrical on both sides and with reference to the longitudinal direction of the reel electrode plate, and a parallel surface section which is provided on the base end section side of the curved surfaces, is formed so as to be aligned with the widthwise surface direction of the reel electrode plate, and which retains a cutting space in the length-wise direction of the reel polar plate; and a step in which the section adjacent to the cutting space retained by means of the parallel surface section is cut so as to be parallel in the longitudinal direction of the reel electrode plate.
