The structure (1) has a carrier structure (2) with a front side, a rear side (2b) and a belt roller device (3). The belt roller device is arranged at the rear side of the carrier structure. The carrier structure comprises a rear opened retainer recess (4) into which the belt roller device is inserted. A channel unit is formed for holding a belt strap unit of the belt roller device. A cover device is formed for covering the retainer recess and/or closing the channel unit. A closure covering is formed for closing the retainer recess. The belt strap unit is designed as a safety belt. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembly of a backrest structure of a vehicle seat.
