PURPOSE: A photosensitive composition for a color filter and a color filter using the same are provided to improve the contrast ratio and brightness of the color filter. CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive composition for a color filter includes a dye-polymer composite, an acrylic photo-polymerizable monomer, a photo-polymerization initiator, and a solvent. The dye-polymer composite includes a structural unit which is derived from a compound represented by chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, X1 is a substituted or non-substituted C3-30 cycloalkenyl group, a substituted or non-substituted C3-30 heterocycloalkenyl group, or the combination of the same; X2 and X3 are substituted or non-substituted C6-30 arylene groups, substituted or non-substituted C6-30 alkylarylene groups, substituted or non-substituted C3-30 heteroarylene groups, or the combination of the same, respectively; and Y1 and Y2 are -NR3R4, -OR5, or -SR6, respectively.
