PURPOSE: A network management system connected to PLC(Power Line Communication) and a control method thereof are provided to monitor the whole network by receiving congestion state information, flow state information, traffic state information, or information data including an Ethernet frame type. CONSTITUTION: An electricity meter(100) generates PLC communication state inspection information in response to a request signal according to a reception box. The electricity meter transmits the PLC communication state inspection information to a data concentration device by using a PLC communication network. A communication management server(300) generates the request signal. The communication management server transmits the generated request signal to the data concentration device. The communication management server receives PLC communication state inspection SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) information through a wired and wireless communication network.
