<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a currency management system and a currency management method, capable of achieving accurate cash balance management, by making a cashier machine configuring the system receive balance information of a currency management device. <P>SOLUTION: A cashier machine is communicatively connected to a currency management device which stores and manages currency. The cashier machine comprises: a storage for storing the currency; a full detection unit for detecting a full state of the currency stored in the storage; an arithmetic processing unit for generating cooperative processing information of the currency to be collected, when collecting the currency stored in the storage into the currency management device; and a transmission/reception unit for transmitting the cooperative processing information to the currency management device, and for receiving, from the currency management device, collection completion information showing that the currency has been collected into the currency management device on the basis of the cooperative processing information. The arithmetic processing unit interrupts money receipt processing when the full state of the currency is detected by the full detection unit during the money receipt processing, and resumes the money receipt processing after receiving the collection completion information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
