The household appliance e.g. oven (400) has housing with an outer surface, and a transparent display (402) that is arranged at the outer surface of the housing. A display portion of the transparent display is set to be transparent when no information is displayed, such that the appearance of outer surface of housing is matched with transparent display. A lining element is attached behind the transparent display such that front surface of lining element is colored as outer surface of housing. Several electric lines are arranged in the transparent display. An independent claim is included for a method for attaching display at household appliance.
