<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level difference detection system for detecting a level difference on a walk path on which a user walks, and for notifying the user of the presence/absence of a level difference, and for assisting the walking of the user in a real time. <P>SOLUTION: The level difference detection system includes: a notification section; an image pickup section for picking up an image of a walk path in a direction of walking of a user; a level difference detection section for obtaining the height distribution of the walk path from the image picked up by the image pickup section, and for detecting a measurement position having height exceeding a preliminarily set first threshold as a level difference; and a control section for, when the level difference is detected by the level difference detection section, controlling the notification section to notify the user of the presence of the level difference on the walk path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
