<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic shaft having a male spline shaft, which has a coated part to reduce sliding resistance and is finished into a male spline shape by shaving the coated part, and which is reduced in weight by reducing the axial length. <P>SOLUTION: In a center hole 71, one mark (recessed part) 711 extending from the center hole 71 to the radially outside is integrally formed with the center hole 71. The number of marks 711 is a divisor of the number of teeth of a male spline 51, and the marks are formed at the same phase position as the phase of the teeth of the male spline 51. Therefore, the shape of the male spline 51 can be finished by aligning a phase of the male spline shaft 16A with reference to the mark 711 and shaving a coated part 61 of the male spline 51 by removing an excess coated part 61. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
