<p>Disclosed are a method and a server for preventing addition of an online game. The method for preventing addition of the online game includes benefits which are provided to a user in accordance with a the server for preventing addiction of the online game corresponding to a predetermined monitoring period and a game number, which is the number of times the online game is run, in the online game played by a plurality of users accessing an online game server through a client, and the method comprises the steps of: determining an addiction prevention policy which is used for limiting the number of games that are played by a user within a monitoring period; the server for preventing game addiction calculating the game number, which is the number of times the online game is played by the user within the monitoring period; the server for preventing game addiction determining a ranking of benefits that would be provided to the user in accordance with the game number by referencing the addiction prevention policy; and the server for preventing game addiction providing the benefit that is determined to the user.</p> |
