The device (20) has an actuating element (21) for inducing a brake shoe (14) to move between an open position and a closing position. The actuating element is swingable relative to the brake shoe around a rotational axis (A). A ramp system (22) is operatively connected with the actuating element for conversion of a pivoting movement of the actuating element into an axial movement of the brake shoe. A covering housing (30) is connected with the actuating element for receiving the ramp system. The ramp system is arranged in a space sealable within the housing. An independent claim is also included for a powertrain for a combustion engine of a motor car.
