<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer for a tapered roller bearing capable of preventing tapered rollers from skewing and lowering rotation torque of the bearing and the tapered roller bearing. <P>SOLUTION: A retainer 15 for a tapered roller bearing includes a small diameter annular part 16, a large diameter annular part 18, and a plurality of columnar parts 17 protrudingly arranged from the small diameter annular part at predetermined intervals in a peripheral direction in an axial direction and connecting the small diameter annular part and the large diameter annular part. The retainer has pockets rollably retaining the tapered rollers 4 formed between the columnar parts. Retainer guiding surfaces of the columnar parts have partially spherical surface, and the peripheral directional length of the inner peripheral surfaces 17b is longer than the peripheral directional length of the outer peripheral surfaces 17a. Also, at least a portion of each of the outer peripheral surfaces is located more than the outside of the pitch circle diameter PCD of the tapered rollers, and the tapered roller are retained so as to hold the tapered rollers from the inner diameter side more than the pitch circle diameter PCD. At least a portion of an abutting location of each of the retainer guiding surface of the columnar parts and each of the tapered rollers is smaller than the pitch circle diameter PCD of the tapered rollers, and the inner peripheral surfaces 17b of the columnar parts has a circular arc crosssection in the large diameter annular part 18 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
