<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction of a space in a device body and allow a cable to be efficiently arranged in the outside of a device housing by utilizing a space in which a storing part of the cable projects to the outside of the device housing, as a space for wiring the cable. <P>SOLUTION: In a linear member housing structure, a standing portion on the outermost surface side of a housing member 500 attached to a side surface of a device housing 100 is extended downward to form a regulation portion 500a, and the lower surface side of a placing portion 500b forming the lowest portion of a space inside the housing member 500 is defined as a position regulation portion, and the lower side of a cable 61 is restricted by a surface on which an image forming device is installed, and the position regulation portion serves as a storing portion which prevents the cable 61 from moving to a direction spaced from the side surface of the device housing 100.
