Provided is a break detection device of a mooring line which connects a floating body whereupon a wind power generator is installed with an anchor which is positioned on the bottom of a body of water, said device comprising a signal emitting unit which is attached to at least one part of the mooring line, and a detection unit which is configured to detect a break of the mooring line on the basis of the change of an emitted signal from the signal emitting unit.
