A tool (2) for producing a layer with a micro structured outer surface on a substrate surface, comprising an elastic matrix web (10) with a negative of the micro structure to be produced, an elastic pressure roller (4) that is movable over a surface, and at least one guiding element (18, 20, 26) for guiding the elastic matrix web (10) relative to the pressure roller (4), wherein the pressure roller (4) and the matrix web (10) are arranged in such a manner that when the pressure roller (4) is moved over the substrate surface the negative on the matrix web (10) faces the substrate surface. In this manner particularly good directional stability and guiding precision of the matrix web (10) can be achieved. |
