A cable header connector (100) comprises a contact module (300) having a support body (304) and a plurality of cable assemblies (140) held by the support body and arranged in a column. Each of the cable assemblies comprises a contact sub-assembly (144) configured to be terminated to a cable (102), and a ground shield (148) coupled to and providing electrical shielding for the contact sub-assembly. The contact sub-assembly has a pair of signal contacts (146) terminated to corresponding signal wires (104, 106) of the cable. An electrically conductive ground bridge (302) is coupled to the support body (142). The ground bridge includes intercolumn bridges (306) arranged between corresponding cable assemblies (140). The intercolumn bridges engage and are electrically connected to the ground shields of the corresponding cable assemblies on both sides of the intercolumn bridges, whereby the ground bridge electrically connects the cable assemblies engaged by the intercolumn bridges.
