<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing porosity when forming a composite structure by using a wet layup material which is reservable for a longer period and less expensive than a prepreg material. <P>SOLUTION: A method and apparatus for reducing porosity in the composite structure 102 are provided. A first composite material layer 152 may be applied over a surface. A venting layer 158 may be applied over the first composite material layer 152. A second composite material layer 154 may be applied over the venting layer.
