<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical outlet which allows an optical cord to be introduced thereinto from a wall surface by utilizing an optical adapter attachment function of the optical outlet. <P>SOLUTION: An optical outlet attached to a switch box in a wall allows optical adapters 5 to be attached thereto correspondingly to openings 6 provided in upper and lower parts and allows optical cords K to be introduced thereinto from a wall surface via the openings 6. Holder members 9 on which holder grooves 9a for holding and fixing the introduced optical cords K are formed are provided in the openings 6.
