The invention relates to mixtures of aluminium hydrogenphosphites of the formula (I) Al2.00(HPO3)v(H2PO3)y x (H2O)z (I) and aluminium salts containing from 91 to 99.9% of aluminium hydrogenphosphite of the formula (I), 0.1 to 9% of aluminium salts and from 0 to 50% of water (of crystallization), where, in formula (I), v is from 2 to 2.99, y is from 2 to 0.01 and z is from 0 to 4, a process for the production thereof and the use thereof.
