<p>The objective of the present invention is to provide a banknote processing device which is capable of improving convenience in collection of rejected banknotes. This banknote processing device is provided with a banknote recognition unit which recognizes whether a banknote is normal or not, and a reject compartment into which bills that have been recognized as anomalous by the banknote recognition unit are stored; wherein the reject compartment is disposed outside a unit that requires a predetermined authorization for opening and closing.</p> |
