<p>The present invention prevents the occurrence of a time lag in deposit detection when a deposit deposited on a detection surface is detected by a change in the temperature inside a metal tube caused by the passage of an electric current through a heating element. The outer surface of a metal tube (10) into which a heating element (11) and a temperature detecting element (12) are inserted and a filling material (13) with good heat conductivity is filled so as to surround these elements is covered with scale (G), the surface of the scale (G) is used as a detection surface (K1) which is in contact with deposit investigation water and on which a deposit generated from the investigation water is deposited. Since the detection surface (K1) is uneven due to scale particles and is more stable in terms of energy than the outer surface of the metal tube, a deposit such as scale can be easily deposited evenly on the detection surface (K1). Consequently, the deposit can be detected by a sensor (1) having the detection surface (K1) without causing a time lag.</p> |
