<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation apparatus suitable for generating electric power using a stream, for example, of rivers, lakes, ocean, rapids, waterfalls, and agricultural or industrial canals, having a simple structure, being easy and inexpensive to manufacture, being small and light, easy to install, and capable of generating stable electric power depending on the stream. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation apparatus is provided with a generator unit 3 which contains a generator, a rotational means which is rotated by the stream, and the generating unit 3 is anchored in an installation body of water. The rotational means is associated with the generator. One or more water turbine units 4 which include propellers 17 are provided in the installation body of water of the generator unit 3. The turbine units 4 having the propellers 17 rotatable by the stream are installed along the stream. The water turbine units 4 are connected to the generator unit 3 via rotatable shafts.
