<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot and cold water mixing valve with a wax element, the valve capable of accurately controlling a temperature of mixed water in a mixing chamber, without deteriorating stability of temperature control with time lapse. <P>SOLUTION: A hot and cold water mixing valve has a casing 7 having a hot water inflow port 2, a cold water inflow port 3, and a mixed water outflow port 4 and having a hot water chamber 5 and the mixing chamber 6 therein, an annular valve seat forming body 10 forming a partition wall between the hot water chamber and the mixing chamber and movable from a stop position abutting on an annular step part formed in a casing inner surface to a hot water chamber side, the first spring 11 arranged in the hot water chamber and biasing the valve seat forming body to the stop position, a temperature sensing part for receiving wax, and a piston reciprocally driven by the expansion and constriction of the wax, and the wax element 12 which is arranged in the mixing chamber and in which the distal end of the piston is engaged with a mixing chamber surrounding wall and the temperature sensing part can abut on and separate from the valve seat formed by the inner peripheral fringe part of a mixing chamber side end surface of the valve seat forming body, and the second spring 14 biasing the wax element to a piston distal end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
