MULTI-FORMAT DOCUMENT FEEDER FOR A SCANNER OR PRINTER

A document feeder (1 ) for feeding documents to a scanner or printer is described. The document feeder (1 ) comprises a first feeding tray (2) for holding a sheet (25) and a second feeding tray (3) for holding a first document (22). The second feeding tray further includes a seat (4) for holding a second document (21 ). The maximum extension (W3) of the seat is smaller than the maximum extension (W1 ) of the first feeding tray (2) and is smaller than the maximum extension (W2) of the second feeding tray (3). The document feeder includes a loading path (P1 ) for receiving the second document from the seat and for guiding towards the scanner or printer the second document having a maximum thickness greater than the maximum thickness of the sheet.
