PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an osteoporosis diagnosing assist device with which highly accurate determination results of osteoporosis can be obtained even by an unskilled operator.

SOLUTION: The osteoporosis diagnosing assist device 100 has: an obtaining section 131 for obtaining an X-ray image where a mandibular inferior cortex is photographed; a storage section 120 for storing average position information showing an average bone density-changing site of a plurality of persons which is information showing a site of a mandibular inferior cortex where the bone density easily lowers by the osteoporosis or information for calculating the average position information of the same; a specifying section 132 for specifying the bone density changing site in the X-ray image based on the position information of the average position information; an extracting section 133 for extracting an image area of a predetermined range where the specified bone density changing site is included as an area of interest; and a determining section 134 for determining whether or not the person imaged in the X-ray image is suffering from osteoporosis based on the image of the extracted area of interest.
