A method is provided for adjusting the stress on an electrical and/or electronic subassembly in a wind turbine. The method includes determining for the electrical and/or electronic subassembly an expected service life up to the point when a maintenance indicator value is reached, which represents a state of the subassembly at which, on the basis of conditions defined in advance, the subassembly should be maintained The method also includes comparing the expected service life against the time point for the next maintenance of the wind turbine. The method further includes controlling the wind turbine and/or at least one other wind turbine in an area around the wind turbine in such a way that the stress on the electrical and/or electronic subassembly is reduced.
