Provided is a refrigerator which achieves both satisfactory storage efficiency and the convenience of use at the same time, is energy-saving, and has low-noise and low-vibration characteristics obtained without impairing the external design and the level of cooling performance. A refrigerator has a box main body having a storage compartment disposed therein, and the storage compartment has a door provided at the front face thereof. Also, the refrigerator is provided with a compressor having an electric drive element which comprises a stator and a rotor and a compression element which is driven by the electric drive element. The electric drive element and the compression element are housed within a hermetically closed container comprising an upper container and a lower container. The compressor is installed in the box main body through an elastic member (200) and has a compressor stop control unit for controlling the operation of the functional component of the refrigerator when the compressor including a fan air flow rate regulating unit is stopped. |
