The invention relates to a roller blind system (10) for covering a rear window (102) of a motor vehicle (100), having a roller blind, comprising a roller blind shaft (50) rotatable about a main axis (2) and comprising a flexible sheet-like structure (54) which, in a stowed state, is wound on the roller blind shaft (50) and which, in a functional state, is at least partially unwound from the roller blind shaft (50), and having an areal shelf (20) for arranging in the rear region of the motor vehicle (100), said areal shelf comprising a front and a rear shelf portion (20a, 20b) which form in each case a part of the shelf (20) and which are separated from one another by a passage slot (24) through which the sheet-like structure (54) is moved during a movement from the stowed state into the functional state. It is provided according to the invention that the two shelf portions (20a, 20b) are connected to one another via a trough body (30) and the roller blind shaft (50) is arranged within the trough body (30) and is rotatably mounted by means of bearing blocks (52) which are likewise fastened to the trough body (30) or are an integral part of the trough body (30). |
