The process for manufacturing an electroluminescent textile of the invention consists: in depositing, on a face (11) of an electrically conductive textile support (1), a layer of a dielectric material (3), said face (11) of the textile support (1) having at least two distinct electrically conductive zones (20, 21), said dielectric layer (3) covering a portion of one (21) of the conductive zones of the textile support; in depositing on the dielectric layer (3) an electroluminescent layer (4); and in depositing an electrically conductive upper layer (5) on the electroluminescent layer (4), this conductive upper layer (5) being transparent or translucent, and also covering a portion of the other conductive zone (20).
