The device (4) has a plane element (43) mounted in a set of posts (41, 42) that is provided with longitudinal profiles, and lying on a securing lath (44) that is arranged in an use position of the plane element on an upper surface of the plane element. The securing lath comprises an L-shaped cross-section and a U-shaped cross-section, and the longitudinal profiles are equipped with a connecting unit i.e. spring-groove combination. The U-shaped cross-section includes a set of legs, and one of the posts is fastened to a blind frame. An independent claim is also included for a French balcony.
