The vale has a valve opening (14) enclosed by a valve seat (15). A valve element (16) cooperates with the valve seat for closing and releasing the valve opening. An annular seal element (22) is arranged at the valve element and forms a seat seal at the valve seat. A gasket (42) closes a clearance (34) standing in connection with the opening via a through hole (35) in the valve element. The gasket is clamped between the valve element and a valve-fixed attachment and impinges the valve element with closing force that axially acts towards closing of the opening. The gasket is formed as a spring-elastic hollow body.
