The vane pump (2) has a sealed housing (4) having a flange (8), a peripheral portion (10) and a cover (12). The flange has a rotor shaft (18) provided with a rotor assembly (14). A slide element (16) is rotatably mounted in rotor assembly such that rotor assembly divides a pump chamber (6) of housing into two chambers. The rotor assembly is fixed at defined distance with respect to cover and flange in pump chamber using a fixed bearing (20), and extension units (24) of flange.
