[Also in Group XXXIV] The bearings 7 of a universal joint are lubricated by oil supplied from a pipe 11 through a stationary distributer ring 9, ducts 14, 15 in the shaft 1, a cavity 16 and a duct 17 in the body of the joint. The ring 9 is located axially by a retaining collar 10 and has sealing rings 12, 13 located in grooves in its inner periphery, bearing against the surface of the shaft. |
