PURPOSE: A boundary recognition system for cutting lawn grass is provided to directly recognize the boundary located in the boundary line of a work area. CONSTITUTION: A boundary recognition system for cutting lawn grass comprises a transport unit(210) for movement; a cutting device(220) for cutting lawn grass; a control unit(240) which controls the operation of the transport unit and cutting device; a boundary recognition part in which the cutting device is arranged in the boundary of the lawn cutting area; and a sensing device which is included in the cutting device and recognizes physical properties of the boundary recognition system. The boundary recognition system is shaped with a metal material, and the sensing device is a metal detection sensor(231).
