A bed sheet comprises an elongate piece of material (4); and fastening means (6, 8) adapted to releasably attach together a first point on the piece material (4) and a second point on the piece material (4), the first and second points being located at different positions along a length of the piece of material (4). Attachment in this manner produces a loop of material having a first open end and a second open end opposite to the first open end such that the loop of material produced by attaching together the first and second points is adapted to fit around a part of a mattress (22); a portion of the mattress (22) extends from at least one of the open ends of the loop of material. |
