This masking material (1), which is used in a heating step, is provided with: a substrate (2) that contains magnetic bodies having a higher Curie temperature than the temperature of the heating step and that has as a main resin component a resin having a higher melting point than the temperature of the heating step; and a peelable protective layer (3) formed on one surface of the substrate (2) and comprising a peelable protective material. The masking material (1) has superior heat resistance and can be used repeatedly.
