<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a front passenger seat capable of restraining the passenger's head moving forward with a restraining wall of the compact airbag in a cushioned manner with accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The airbag device for the front passenger seat M has an outer periphery wall 22 of the airbag 20 comprising two lateral side panels 50 having an upper edge side coupling portion and a lower edge side coupling portion that are mutually coupled, and a rear side panel for mutually coupling both lateral edges with respect to a rear edge side coupling portion of the two lateral side panels. A V-shaped groove is formed at the lower edge side coupling portion of the two lateral side panels 50. The vicinity of a top 57c of the V-shaped groove 57 is arranged in the vicinity of a front end 2c at an upper surface 2b side of the instrument panel at the rear side of a case 6 at the rear side of an inflow opening 25 on a lower surface of the airbag 20 at completion of inflation by the mutual coupling. Therefore, a rear side support surface 30 having a rear side instrument panel abutment part 33 abutted with a rear surface 3 side from the upper surface 2b side of the instrument panel 2 at the rear side of the case is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
