<p>A device for controlling and monitoring the temperature of a cooking fluid, e.g. a sous-vide cooker, so as to maintain a constant temperature over a long cooking period. The device uses a processor that records a plurality of temperature values and measures the rate of change of those values over time S7-5. This is then used to estimate how long it will take for the cooking fluid to reach its target temperature. Upon reaching its target temperature, the device is then switched off S7-21, and once the temperature drops the process is repeated. The device also includes a user input display so that the user can set the target temperature he so desires, and the device will display how long it will take for the device to reach this temperature. Further inventions relate to controlling the heat input into the cooker and calculating updates at predetermined time intervals.</p> |
