Provision of a search function on a digital television receiver

The TV receiver has program guide (PE) that is formed such that it checks search result to media content to determine whether additional information associated with respective deployment time of media content enables execution of selected function. The checking result is displayed on display screen, so that only additional information is output to media content. The search result is stored to initiate selected function in storage medium (spm). The execution of function corresponding to deployment time is enabled by device control (G). An independent claim is included for method for operating digital TV receiver.
