A display apparatus and a displaying method using the display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus includes a receiver which receives a broadcasting signal via at least one of a plurality of channels, a display unit which outputs the received broadcasting signal, and a controller which controls the display unit to detect an identifier included in the received broadcasting signal and to display information relating to a channel receiving a broadcasting signal having the same identifier as the detected identifier.
