The diaper closure tape comprises a fastening side and a user side, and a carrier tape (1) extending from the fastening side towards the user side. A piece of a mechanical fastener (10) is detachably fixed on the user side of the carrier tape, where the mechanical fastener has a male component (11) and a female component (13). Another piece of the mechanical fastener is the male component and the former piece is the female component. The male component of the mechanical closure has two separated carrier elements for male fastening elements. An independent claim is included for a method for reclosing a diaper.
