A rear protection structure is provided for a vehicle which is equipped with an engine and a rear wheel-driving motor 5 each as a traveling-driving power source of the vehicle and in which the rear wheel-driving motor 5 is arranged between left and right rear wheels 10a and 10b of the vehicle, and a fuel tank 17 for the engine and the rear wheel-driving motor 5 are arranged adjacent to each other in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A rear suspension 19 supporting the rear wheel-driving motor 5 has a suspension member 21 with an octothorpe-like shape, and the rear wheel-driving motor 5 and high-voltage lines 40 connected to the rear wheel-driving motor 5 are arranged within a space 33 enclosed by the suspension member 21.
