Improvements relating to mouse, rat and like traps

In a mouse or like trap a wire snap spring b is held by a catch c which is prevented from release movement by means of a piece of cotton which is stretched across the mouth of a bore a1 in the body section of the trap. In order to reach bait which is placed in the bore a1 the mouse eats through the cotton so releasing the catch c and allowing the spring b to snap down and destroy the mouse.
