A glazing comprising a spring contact and a busbar and a solder layer between them is disclosed. The solder layer may be applied either to the spring contact or to the busbar before making an electrical connection between them. Alternatively, the solder layer may be applied during curing of an adhesive, which bonds the spring contact to a ply of glazing material. The spring contact comprises a bent portion and a base portion, and the bent portion is biased against the busbar by elastic force of the bent portion. If fretting wear or chemical corrosion causes a hotspot, then low melting point solder partly melts and flows to eliminate the hotspot. Therefore the connector has a self-healing function. |
