PURPOSE: A positioning system using a WiBro network and a control method thereof are provided to secure the reliability of position information data acquisition by an automatic recovery in case of errors after checking a communication state and a module state. CONSTITUTION: A positioning system using a WiBro network includes a control part(110) and a power supply control module(140). A remote terminal device(100) collects information from modules and checks a communication state and the abnormality of each module. The control part transmits a reboot command if the abnormality is found in the module. The power supply control module receives the reboot command transmitted from the control part, blocks power supply to the modules, and supplies the power again.
